Capacity building is a critical component of H.E.R. lab. We are committed to:
growing our lab’s capacity to center a racial equity analysis,
develop authentic partnerships with those most impacted by health inequities,
strengthen our use of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and community-based approaches to advance programs and policies towards equity,
build our historical and present understanding and commitment to the examination of racism as the main contributor of health inequities, and
increase our ability to apply community and institutional organizing principles in our work.
